On Sunday, September 11th United Lutheran Church dedicated our Peace Pole! The Peace Pole Project aims to get the message of world peace out around the world. There are hundreds of thousands of these poles in over 180 countries! May peace prevail on earth is our prayer that we hope to live out together as people of all places and beliefs. We dedicate it as a sign of our commitment to world peace which starts at home. We the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 to dedicate it as a statement of God's love and peace in contrast to the devastation that took place on this day 10 years ago, that changed the world forever. Let this pole be a sign of our dedication to world peace and a reminder to each of us and everyone who drives by, that peace is possible. The Peace Pole is located next to the church sign.
